Vegetable crisps
Vegetable chips made with fried, freeze-dried vegetables consisting of green radish, carrot, sweet potato, pumpkin, beetroot, purple potato, taro and green beans. Enriched with a pinch of salt.
Almost all of the veggies in these chips will probably look familiar, but what exactly is taro? Taro is a root tuber and originally comes from Asia. It grows in swampy fields. The tubers are white, gray or pinkish-brown and contain a lot of starch, proteins and vitamins. Taro is therefore naturally very healthy.
Prepare vegetable chips yourself? That is also possible. Pick a few vegetables that you like and cut them into thin chunks and slices. It’s best to use a mandolin for this, but a cheese slicer works well too. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place the vegetables on a baking tray lined with baking paper. If the vegetables are still a little damp, you can pat them dry with paper towels. Drizzle with a little oil, salt or herbs of your choice. Bake the vegetable pieces for 20 to 30 minutes and check regularly whether they are already good. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Your veggie chips are now ready!
